If however you are saying that the actual Hard drive part of the mac (not software) then I'm afraid I cannot help you, the best I can do is advise you to go to an apple store and get someone to check it out or buy a new drive and install it manually back into the machine (if you have the know how.). - Shut down your Mac.

- Select your language and click the right arrow. If you aren't using a mouse, you can use the up and down arrows to select a language, then press the Return key.

- When the test is complete, review your test results in the lower-right section of the window.
- To quit Apple Hardware Test, click Restart or Shut Down at the bottom of the window.

- For more information, including details about your service and support options, click ”Get started” or press Command-G.

If you choose to get more information, your Mac starts up from macOS Recovery and displays a web page asking you to choose your country or region.
